Personal Chef

Creating a meal is a contemplation on health, the senses, mood, connections, and love.  There is nothing I enjoy more than channeling my thoughts and care for a person into the planning and concocting of a consummately nourishing meal, both for the palate and for the soul.

I offer several customizable options to cook for you in your own home, the most common being the preparation of several lunches and dinners per week, developed based on an initial consultation where we outline together your health challenges and goals as well as your likes and dislikes.  Pleae allow me to support you in your busy day-to-day so that you are as integrated and productive as possible.

Typically the lunches will come in a set of insulated stainless steel tiffins; dinners are left in your fridge in glass dishes with instructions for heating.

I only use the finest ingredients possible, sourced locally and organic when available.  All fish is wild. All meat pastured.  The food I cook is allergen-free, meaning no wheat, corn, dairy, or soy, with the rare exception of organic wheat-free tamari.  I tend to plan meals that are considered "paleo" or "primal" but am equally comfortable with a vegetarian or vegan structure.

I use cookware that contributes to your overall well-being, relying solely on cast iron, stainless steel, glass, or "green" ceramic-coated stainless. My utensils are stainless, bamboo, or wood.

Depending on your needs and the size of your family, the cost for lunch and dinner runs between $100 and $500 per week.

Postpartum Personal Chef

I also offer a unique service, which is creating meals for a new mother and her family after the birth of a baby.  This is an excellent baby shower gift that can be contributed by friends and family, and includes nourishing meals that help the mother to rebuild her strength and support her lactation and healing.

The cornerstone of the postpartum personal chef service is a seaweed soup that provides essential nutritional support to a new mom.  It can be customized to be vegetarian or vegan, though a heartier base like bone or chicken broth provides added protein, minerals, and fat.  Of course if this is not appealing to the mother we can always customize the week's meals to suit her tastes and preferences.

One Week (five days): $300, serves two daily lunch and dinner

Two Weeks (ten days): $500, serves two daily lunch and dinner
